There is often a question about whether an adult or young adult dog can successfully bond with a new owner. Yet day after day this is proven to be an easy transition. Only a sincere interest in caring for the dog is required for this intelligent breed to understand that their new human will return their loyalty and love. Rottweilers are quite capable of understanding that their new person has brought him home to give the love and attention they have been missing. Because of their strong need for companionship from their human pack/family, they are very willing to work to fit into their role in their new home. Too many of these great dogs lose their lives in shelters every year because they were originally owned by people who were unprepared for the size to which they would grow or their demand for attention, so careful consideration is necessary before making the decision to own a Rottweiler.
